Grinner
Takes All! Copyright
© Jan Tincher - All Rights reserved Hello, everyone! This is a short one as I am taking a well-deserved vacation. Actually, every vacation I take is well-deserved, don't you think? I should take more of them. Of course, I say this with a smile on my face, even though there's tons of work stacked on my desk, but I don't mind. Life is worth living fully. The smile is going to be there for quite a while. Which reminds me . . .
I went for a walk downtown the other day. I was just leaving the house and I had a big grin on my face as I hollered to a neighbor, "Hello! Isn't it a great day?" Guess what she did. She smiled as she hollered right back, "Sure is!" I kept going down the street and I met a stranger. "Hey! How are you doing?" I asked with a grin as he seemed to have popped up from out of nowhere. He said, "I'm doing fine. Yourself?" I just kind of laughed. "I'm doing really well!" By then, I was a ways away, but I heard him say, "That's good. You're looking great." I kept walking, and soon I was close to one of my favorite stores. The owner was outside sweeping off the sidewalk. "Gorgeous day for a walk!" I heard her say as I crossed the street toward her, and I could see her teeth, her grin was so wide. Naturally, I agreed, and she invited me in for some tea. I knew I was going to enjoy myself, as she owns a great book store, and serves neat little desserts and several kinds of coffee and tea toward the back. I couldn't help thinking what a great day this is. Everyone was so nice. It's contagious, isn't it? It wouldn't have mattered if someone wasn't nice to me. You know why? Because I know something that person wouldn't. You know what that is? "Grinner takes ALL!" Let me know how it works in your life, OK? Thanks for reading, Jan P.S.
