How
To Build Your Inner Team - Part 2 Copyright

This is a relaxation exercise that will help you create good situations in your life . . . Sit down in a comfortable chair, have some soothing music playing in the background and the calming scent of candles, flowers, or incense in the room. When you are comfortable, close your eyes. Get ready to visualize now, because I'd like you to imagine a quiet place in nature where you can sit and think for a while. Visualize the area, smell the scents there, feel how it feels to be there. When everything is as you want it, in your mind, create a table with 6 chairs around it and place them nearby. Check out the color of the table and chairs, feel them, smell them, hear the movement of the chairs as you situate them. When everything is as you want, take three deep breaths and ask your unconscious mind to bring in two parts of yourself that you really enjoy. (We'll name them love and happiness for now, but you can change them to be whatever you feel most comfortable with. Additional choices might be compassion, understanding, joy. Just pick the two that are right for you.) When they arrive, welcome them warmly and ask them to sit in two of the chairs. Give them an entity so you can see them. One might be a heart, the other a smile? Or if you want them to be people, think of someone who is full of love and another that is full of happiness. (Or the feelings you've picked) Now, ask your unconscious mind for two parts of yourself that are useful and practical. (We'll name them comprehension and adeptness for now, but you can change them to be whatever you feel most comfortable with. Additional choices are competent, competitive, strength. Just pick the two that are right for you.) When they arrive, welcome them warmly and ask them to sit down in two of the chairs. Give them an entity so you can see them (just as you did above). And now, ask your unconscious mind for two parts of yourself that you dislike and with which you are unhappy. (We'll name them sadness and unhappiness for now, but you can change them to be whatever you feel most comfortable with. More choices are depression, nervousness, stressfulness. Just pick the two that are right for you.) When they arrive, welcome them warmly also, and ask them to sit down in the remaining two chairs. Now, address them, one at a time, according to how you invited them in to your circle of chairs. "I would like to ask you what your positive purpose is. Because I know you have one and I also know that it is a gift that you give me." You and the other parts respectfully listen to the answer. When that entity finishes speaking, thank it, then go on to the next one. You and the other parts respectfully listen to the answer. Repeat this process with the remaining four, then three, parts. When there are two parts remaining, say, "Please tell me, one at a time, the positive purpose, the gift, you bring to me." You and the other parts respectfully listen to the answers. Then, as you watch, all six get up and form a circle around you with their gifts. Receive them in a way you can accept. Maybe it is in the form of fairy dust sprinkled on you, or a hug given to you, or an armor surrounding you. Use your imagination and come up with something you can accept and feel the gift actually being given to you. These gifts could also be the ability to give and receive love, compassion, understanding, patience, trust, strength, centeredness, psychic abilities, or any other of a number of fantastic traits you would love and appreciate. Allow these wonderful gifts of your inner team to merge into the center of your heart. You now feel stronger in your beliefs. Your Inner Team has strengthened you. Thanks for reading, Jan P.S.
