Welcome! I am thrilled to start my blog, Tame Your Brain! My name is Jan Tincher and I am a Master Neuro Linguistic Programmer. Although Tame Your Brain has been on the internet for over ten years, I have decided I can reach a lot more people with a blog where you can interact by leaving comments and I can quickly answer any questions you might have. I will be teaching you many things, and I hope you will come back again and again.

Today I am going to show you one of many relaxation techniques.

As you know, meditating and visualizing are a must if you want to make changes in your life. Let’s say you have a goal to succeed in something you haven’t succeeded in before. It looks a little intimidating, but that’s not a problem. Especially if you know the secret to success — which is “If you can see it, you can believe it. If you can believe it, you can achieve it!” Succinctly put, visualize it enough times until it becomes automatic for you. Now, “it” can be a new job, a new skill, a new vehicle. You don’t need to visualize how you accomplished/received it. You just have to visualize the end result.

You don’t think so? Try to “see” something once and believe it. That’s a little tough to do, isn’t it? But after you’ve “seen” it enough times, meaning visualized it, then it’s like old hat, right?

If you are interested in meditation techniques then you know that in order to meditate, you need to be relaxed. You can’t accomplish your goal if you can’t relax enough to concentrate.

Relaxation Technique:

Take three deep breaths. Now bunch up your muscles, that’s right. Just tighten your muscles. Start at your feet and go all the way to your facial muscles. Tighten them, then release them. Do that several times until you find your body responding and relaxing. When you are sure you are relaxed, take three more deep breaths, then start your visualizing.

The next technique you will learn will be a form of meditation techniques.

If you have any suggestions for topics, let me know. I will be happy to address them if they are in my area of expertise. To give you an idea of what my area of expertise includes here are some topics: success, stress, divorce, depression, weight, growing older gracefully, fear.
