When
Is The Critical Time Of Day For You? Copyright © Jan Tincher - All Rights
reserved Do you know when the critical time of day is to you? . . . Right now. Oops. No! Right now! Oops. No! Right now! Get the picture? What is happening to you *Right now!* is programming what is going to happen to you in the future. Why? Because you are programming your future *right now.* Oops. No! Right now! Oops. No! Right now! Let’s see how this works with overeating. Which time of the day is critical to your welfare when you are overeating? Let’s look at these Time Slots. Time Slot 1 -- when you are eating that first cookie Time Slot 2 -- when you are eating that second cookie Time Slot 3 -- when you are eating that third cookie Time Slot 4 -- when you are eating that fourth cookie Time Slot 5 -- when you are eating that fifth cookie Time Slot 6 -- when you realized what you have done and are talking to yourself Are you saying something like *I’m so dumb." Or "I’m so stupid ." Or "I knew I’d eat all 5 of those cookies. I just knew it ." Or "That’s just the way I am!* OK, maybe you don’t say those exact words, but I bet you didn’t say anything like *Oh, well. I know I’ll do much better next time.* Especially not with feeling. If you did, guess what? You *would* do better next time. If not the next time, then the time after that. Why? Because your brain is listening. Your brain listens to what you say -- with meaning, like you really mean it -- and gets busy making it come true. You know why you ate all five of those cookies? Because the last time you ate five cookies you said to yourself, *I’m so stupid. I knew I’d eat all 5 of those cookies. I just knew it.* Or something along those lines. And since you *knew it* then, your brain *knows it* now, and you will continue to do what you don’t want to do. It’s the same with smoking or addictions of any kind. Give your brain a direction -- you always do anyway -- only this time, realize what you are doing and see what happens. Oh, by the way, make sure it’s a direction you want to go. <grin> Now, you can’t say *I don’t know why this always happens to me.* Because now you know. Watch what you say to yourself. Change it if you don’t like it. Watch your life change when your thoughts change. Enjoy life! Thanks for reading, Jan P.S.
